I think my love of cooking and homemaking can be traced to a very early attempt to make dinner for my family while simultaneously caring for my Raggedy Ann doll. My parents indulged me by trying very hard to eat my white bread-ketchup- mustard casserole and not making any faces. I am pretty sure we headed out for ice-cream shortly after dinner!!
I’ve always loved to cook, but it wasn’t until after the birth of our second child, and I became a full-time stay at home mom that I really hit my stride cooking and baking. We belonged to a gourmet club and I was able to help participate in the creation of a local cookbook for the Jr. League. These were great social outlets, as well as wonderful ways to expand my recipe repertoire.
We have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to live abroad several times and each time have made wonderful friends and learned more and more about different cultures and cuisines. I think I am very lucky to have a family who loves to try new things and is open to all sorts of epicurean adventures!
This blog is an attempt to share some super-easy family friendly meals for those nights when there are practices on three different fields or activities at different ends of town at the same time. All the meals that will be on the site have been made previously and taste tested by my (usually) willing family and friends.
I hope you enjoy this blog and that it serves as a resource for you!
